RCT Hubs at Aalborg and Ghent successfully initiated
17 August 2026 – Last week, SP-EU has initiated two more randomised clinical trial (RCT) hubs, namely at Aalborg University (AAU) in Denmark and at Ghent University (UGENT) in Belgium. To assist the local teams in implementing the standardised SP-EU protocols and getting started, Farhad Rezvani and Marius Dierks had travelled to Belgium and Denmark. At Aalborg, the RCT is spearheaded by Profs Sine Agergaard, Søren Passke Johnsen, and Janus Laust, at Ghent by Profs Peter Decat and Hans Keune. The opening of the new hubs will not only advance the progress of the SP-EU project, but also increase awareness of Social Prescribing (SP) in general – for lasting benefits within the local ommunities and healthcare systems.
