Objectives
The overarching key objective of SP-EU is to enhance access to health and care for vulnerable groups, supporting the shift toward community-based, people-centred, and integrated systems. SP-EU aims to evaluate the potential of Social Prescribing (SP) to improve access for these three groups: LGBTIQ+ individuals, refugees and first-generation immigrants, and older adults living alone.
Our project’s ambition is defined by five major objectives:
- Objective 1 Co-create an SP model together with LGBTIQ+ individuals, refugees and immigrants, and elderly people living alone, ensuring it reflects their needs and social contexts.
- Objective 2 Test the effectiveness of this adapted SP model in improving access to health and social care through a multi-country randomised controlled trial (RCT).
- Objective 3 Identify the factors that support or hinder the implementation of SP across diverse European healthcare systems.
- Objective 4 Engage policymakers, healthcare professionals, and social service providers to support sustainable adoption and funding of SP across Europe.
- Objective 5 Increase public awareness of SP, especially among vulnerable groups, and share project results through accessible, transparent, and ongoing communication.
