About UoP

The University of Plymouth is a research-intensive University in the south-west of England, UK, and the Faculty of Health delivers exceptional clinical and academic learning, social engagement and research in medicine, dentistry, nursing, psychology and health professions. The Community and Primary Care Research Group (CPCRG) conducts research often directed towards those individuals who are the most excluded or disempowered, have mental health problems and have difficulty accessing services.

The NIHR ARC South West Peninsula (also known as PenARC) is one of 15 ARCs across England, part of an £135 million investment by the NIHR to improve the health and care of patients and the public. NIHR Applied Research Collaborations (ARCs) support applied health and care research that responds to, and meets, the needs of local populations and local health and care systems.

Kerryn Husk is a health-services researcher who is based at the University of Plymouth as part of PenARC. His research interests include social prescribing, particularly the implementation, impact and policy around the link worker role, and social prescribing for children and young people or in the natural environment. He will contribute to the overall project delivery, but particularly to the qualitative comparative study and the process evaluation components.
