About ICS + IDIAPJGol
The Institut Català de la Salut (ICS) is the largest public healthcare provider in Catalonia, responsible for managing primary care, hospital services, and specialised healthcare across the region. It is committed to research, innovation, and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery. The IDIAP Jordi Gol (Institut Universitari d’Investigació en Atenció Primària Jordi Gol i Gurina) is the primary care research institute of ICS. It promotes high-quality research in primary care, supporting health professionals in conducting studies that improve clinical practice, patient outcomes, and healthcare system performance. IDIAP Jordi Gol collaborates with local, national, and international institutions, ensuring that research findings contribute to policy and practice.
The Research Support Units (RSU) of IDIAP Jordi Gol play a crucial role in facilitating research within the territory, allowing IDIAP Jordi Gol to manage, advise, and organise research initiatives. These units provide direct support to researchers by assisting in project development, informing about funding opportunities, guiding application procedures, managing budgets, and offering continuous support throughout project implementation.
As part of the SP-EU Project, IDIAP Jordi Gol and ICS will play a pivotal role in recruiting participants for the study. Our team will identify, engage, and assess patients who can benefit from Social Prescribing interventions, ensuring that the study includes a diverse and representative patient population. Additionally, we will contribute to the evaluation of SP models by analysing how well they address social barriers to healthcare access and improve health outcomes.
